What it is for

Within a column they sort by auspiciousness descending, so the best unwritten days sit at the top of Not reviewed.

Quarter one is probably the best quarter, the best day is in November, and a video that speaks to the major transits. The write-up is seeded with that shape so the region can be judged at the length she will actually use.

The bands are identical to the month page — this is the round's stated visual risk answered by measurement: the quarter differs because the unit changes what a card can hold, not because the density changes. Fewer cards, so each is 466px and the write-up gets six clamped lines instead of four.

The instrument rail, unchanged where it works. The Colour Auspice Year and its hover day card are the same component as the version you kept, with only the contents the call changed. Four things move: five folder tabs carry the nav above the frame, events and content swap so reading runs left into writing, the lunar-day suggestion goes up into the header, and the review note and the state come inside the content box.

Width is fluid from 1280 up; the Window tweak drags it to 2560. Height holds at 900. The two read rails stay 296 and 400, so the writing rail takes every pixel of a wider monitor, and the strip cell widens so the run always spans.

She said in the call that she can add a materia as well as pick from the list, so the last row types a new one. Changing the category empties the checked set rather than keeping picks the new category does not offer.

What the note takes when it grows

The note is the flexible region and takes what is left of the 715px rail, less 28 of padding, 406.2 of fixed regions and 84 of gaps: 195.1 at the larger size, 95.1 at the smaller. It gives up 100px and keeps four lines. No region moves and nothing scrolls at either size.

The small controls miss the 48px token

The sequence filter, the jump-to-date field, the day stepper and the override pencil render 26px high; the month, quarter and year toggle on the strip is 16px, the smallest target on the surface. All are controls carried over from the version you kept, in a 46px header band and a 96px strip band. Raising the header set to 48 takes that band to 56, the column band from 716 to 706, and the review note from 220 to 210. The toggle costs the strip band 32px on top of that. It is your pick, not mine, because it changes the layout you approved.

Two label colours fail on contrast

The workbook column letters are #c3ccd8 on white, 1.62 : 1, 108 of them across the five calendar surfaces and 47 on this one. The standing secondary-label colour #8a98ad is 2.93 : 1 and appears on 780 elements across the seven surfaces at 7.5 to 12px, 372 of them on the kanban alone — the second most-used text colour in the document after the ink. Both are round-1 tokens you approved, so darkening them is your call; the figures belong here either way. Size compounds it: the tracked tags are 7px, the strip legend 7.5, the hover-card chips 6.5. They are inherited from the round-1 treatment you approved, so darkening the token is your call; the figure belongs here either way. The Density tweak turns them off in one move.

Save draft is a save control

Drawn as you asked, secondary beside Commit. It fails AC-10, which states no save control exists on the day page, and it puts two controls in the corner where the operating rules allow one. The held time is what makes the pair readable, or it is what makes Save draft look like it does nothing.

The override rating rows are 30px

Five rows at 48px make 240px of list, which covers the factor rows the override is being judged against. AC-19 fails here.

Factor and event rows carry no target

34 rows are marks rather than controls, which is what makes 63 slots fit. If any becomes clickable the zero-scroll rule breaks before the token does.

The five steps, measured

Step against step, at cell width

Level 4 against level 2 is 1.04, and level 5 against level 1 is 1.19. The two pairs that mean opposite things carry no luminance difference, only hue. This is the measured answer to the brief's question about whether a five-step strip lets Ivy judge calibration, and it is a property of the accepted colour scale rather than of the drawing. It is reported, not fixed: the strip is the treatment she approved and it is not being altered to solve this.

The 100px the smaller screen takes comes out of the one band holding all three rails, and inside it the review note is the only region that gives anything up. Cost of the rule, measured: 15 event slots at 30px is 450px against 716px of column band at 1440 and 616px at 1280. It fits at both widths only while the event rows stay non-interactive marks.

The rollup field list, and what the call settled

The brief asks every unit of the level below to carry date, auspiciousness, the Hygromanteia lunar day, the short to-do and the expanded to-do. Four of those five are day fields, so only the week page can satisfy the list literally.

The transcript settles the upper three levels. Her own words are that she expands the week write-ups to do the month write-up, so what a span card carries is the child span's summary, not an average of day fields.

For a span unit rather than a day unit

This also answers the round's stated visual risk. A quarter page differs from a month page because the unit changes what a card can hold, not because the density changes. The day card and the span card are two objects, the Day object and the Span object, each additive across its own four sizes.

Open questions carried into pass 2

The nine-to-five pairing

Minus 4 and minus 3 to level 1, minus 2 and minus 1 to level 2, 0 to level 3, plus 1 to level 4, plus 2 upward to level 5. That is the fold already in the strip you kept, and it differs from the brief's implied pairing on plus 2. If column O holds a different one the strip recolours and no layout moves.

The category-to-materia map

No such map exists in Braid or in either brief. The dependency is drawn with placeholder options marked as placeholders on the screen itself.

The lunar-day headings and the per-day to-dos in the card

Lunar days 24 and 27 are Ivy's own rows. The other 28 headings, and every per-day to-do the hover card shows away from January 1st, are stand-ins so the card can be judged at any day of the year.
